There are many ways to get from Gouves to Heraklion Airport (HER). You can use public transportation, hire a taxi, or rent a car or van from many rent-a-car shops in Kato Gouves.

Anopolis is a small picturesque village located just three kilometers south from Kato Gouves and almost 15 kilometres from downtown Heraklion. From the old village of Hersonisos to Anopolis the distance is about 16 kilometers.

A visit to Arkadi Monastery, in Rethymno, is a must destination that nobody should miss during a trip to Crete Island. A gorgeous spot but then so profoundly set apart with the Cretan battle for independence. Arkadi Monastery is a useful place to understand the history and tradition of Crete.
Gouves is a great place to relax and enjoy all the activities and attractions that it offers. The best part is that is at the center of the Creta island so you can visit some of the best attractions on the island
